Amirah Mazen Alhaj is a pioneer in the field of rehabilitation and support for children with special needs and  early intervention, as well as a researcher specializing in special education, inclusive education, and family counseling. With more than twenty years of professional experience in rehabilitation, special education, and psychological and social support, she has dedicated her career to empowering children and their families, promoting academic and social inclusion, and enabling individuals with disabilities and special educational needs to achieve greater independence and active participation in society. In 2014, she founded Kalimat Center for Rehabilitation and Speech Therapy, a specialized center providing rehabilitation services, support, and consultations through an integrated scientific and professional approach. In 2017, she published her book, The Shadow Teacher Assistant, which explored educational support strategies for students with behavioral disorders within school settings.

Throughout her professional journey, Amirah has supported and empowered a large number of children and families, helping many students successfully integrate into inclusive schools, continue their education through university, and transition into the workforce. She has also trained and qualified numerous educational and rehabilitation professionals, as well as specialists working in the field of disability and special educational needs across several Arab countries. Through training programs, workshops, and professional consultations, she has contributed to advancing best practices in early intervention, special education, inclusive education, behavioral support, and family counseling.

Amirah has worked alongside distinguished international experts, particularly from Germany and other countries, enriching her professional expertise and strengthening her scientific and practical methodologies in line with the latest global practices. She holds academic qualifications in special education and human sciences, in addition to postgraduate studies in family counseling, social work, and psychology. As a doctoral researcher, her academic interests focus on the quality of inclusive education practices, family counseling, and support for students with disabilities and special educational needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder. Born in the United Arab Emirates, she developed a multicultural perspective that enhanced her understanding of diverse family and community needs. She believes that family and community awareness are fundamental pillars of successful rehabilitation and inclusion, and she continues to work toward building more inclusive and supportive environments that enhance the quality of life of children, families, and society as a whole
